Eh, I have to disagree on this. You can find as many classic “songs” between 88-94, and more classic albums, and less bullshit. I guess this would be the hater argument, but 94-2001 is the era that began all the bullshit that help create the “split” in hip hop to an underground/independent movement. There was only one style that was dominant at this time. Many of the artist in that compilation, have their roots pre-94.
